Firefly Medical Group PLLC was formed to serve clients seeking to improve their quality of life. We knew we were entering an overcrowded space filled with procedure-hungry practitioners with little oversight and even less training. Firefly is different.
All Firefly staff are highly trained and must continue to hone their skills and knowledge with required education and elevated standards outside traditional MedSpa and Hormone Clinic norms. Expectations are high, as the business is operated hands-on by both an MD/PhD and an Attorney. At Firefly, we do business right and we do it for you.
HORMONE THERAPY FAQ
What conditions do you treat?
Firefly treats symptoms of hormone and vitamin deficiency. Symptoms can materialize through physical and emotional indications. Weight gain, the inability to lose weight, sweating, weakness, fatigue, depression, anxiety, and irritability can all be symptoms of one or more hormone/vitamin deficiencies.
What is Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy?
Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) uses hormones that have identical pharmacological action to those the human body produces, and can be measured in your blood just like the hormones you naturally produce. BHRT is used to alleviate or reduce symptoms of hormone deficiency.
Why do you not use pellets?
Pellet therapy carries the risk of infection or other insertion complications such as expulsion or migration. Additionally, clients lose ancillary health benefits due to the hormone’s method of delivery, while Practitioners lose the ability to control treatment doses using pellets. Furthermore, pellet therapy takes a universal approach to treatment by partnering with a third-party manufacturer that often determines dosing. Firefly takes each client on as an individual, and monitors your customized treatment closely.
Is treatment right for me?
Treatment depends on the individual. To find out if treatment is right for you, schedule an initial consultation and lab work.
What is the cost of BHRT?
Cost of treatment varies by individual, but all services are considered non-covered. Treatment can be expensive. Clients can sign up for yearly packages, which are automatically renewed annually but are charged in monthly installments to make them more affordable. Lab work, supplements, and medications are all costs in addition to the treatment package costs.
Do you take insurance?
All services are considered non-covered. We do not take insurance.
Can I use my HSA/FSA?
Firefly accepts HSA/FSA payments. However, we cannot guarantee payment will be authorized by your institution. Ultimate liability for payment resides with each client.
When can I expect results?
Generally, clients should notice a difference around 6 weeks, with some responding as early as 1-2 weeks’ time. More complex hormone issues may take longer to improve, anywhere from 6 months or more. (As with all treatments, products, or services, results are not guaranteed.)
Xeomin® & INJECTABLES FAQ
What is the best treatment to address aging skin and wrinkles?
At Firefly, we believe each client is unique. All our treatments are customized to the client. We offer a full suite of esthetic services as well as vitamin shots. Yet, we will never recommend a treatment if we feel it is unnecessary or results will be substandard. It’s important to note there is no such thing as an “anti-aging” treatment or product. We will all age, but at Firefly we will soften the process with a natural Firefly Glow.
What is Xeomin®?
Xeomin® is a “cleaner” and longer-lasting form of Botox®. Xeomin® has a lesser chance of causing antibody resistance (i.e., the body can create antibodies against the product over time). Its purer structure gives results a soft, natural feel while limiting the possibility of the product not working due to your immune system.
Why don’t you offer more filler services?
Firefly is run by an MD/PhD with extensive knowledge in anatomy and pharmacology. Filler comes with numerous risks. Unfortunately, many of these risks are ignored by the esthetics industry. Firefly promises to never put profit before best care practices.
